The most difficult part of the human experience is decision-making. It becomes more difficult when we have to make decisions as a group. Adding to the complexity is the need to make decisions about how we are going to make decisions.

When you let the concepts in the prior paragraph sink in, it is clear that there are multiple ways for a group of people - such as the voters in a city - to make a decision about who should serve in city government.

I'm personally a fan of rank choice voting (RCV) and will make sure that any municipality that chooses to use it has the best administered RCV election as possible. However the choice to use RCV is up the legislative body of the place where it will be used.
